As of late, there are things I would rather forget than remember regarding a recent relationship and the personalities involved. But I know there are good times that will try and embed themselves into other memories, or maybe they will trick me into thinking I have forgotten them. And that is fine. We all need to find a place to put these things, for reference, and to reflect upon the finer moments shared with another. I know the pains gone through in trying to recognize one's self after severing ties and dropping from existence, the person we once loved. When we are able to visit the good memories without longing and without anger, and just see them for what they once, truly were, then we know we have survived and can move forward unencumbered into new loves.
