If you get a chance, check out José Gonzalez. He's a Swede of Argentinian parents and sounds reminiscent of The Kings of Convenience, but maybe a little more angsty. His album is called Veneer and contains shades of his parent's lineage as well as a little Joy Division disonance, despite being almost all acoustic guitar. He's definitely more for your mellow moods, but good nevertheless.
