It was said at his blog, but it needs to be said again:
On March 13th, I watched my friend Naz wreck on the LaSalle street bridge in Chicago. It was not user error, or a vehicular collision, but just plain bad luck. As he rode across the bridge, his front tire dropped down into a gap - small enough to grab a road bike tire - between two large grid plates. So Naz went from 15-17 mph to 0 mph instantly, and was catapulted off his bike and onto the metal grate - face first. I have seen a lot of wrecks over the years, and this is by far one of the worst. I sat on the bridge with Naz until the ambulance arrived and can attest the level of severity his injuries carry.
Naz is also a freelance designer/artist, and has no medical coverage. So in an effort to help offset the cost of medical bills for catscans, xrays, overnight treatment, ambulance fees, etc, some of his friends set-up a site via paypal (WWW.PAYPAL.COM --> work@weightshift.net is the addie to where monies can be sent) so people can give what they can.
Here is some info:

Andrew, editor of gapersblock (Naz is a contributor to this site), already posted a blurb about it (http://www.gapersblock.com/news/archives/2005/03/#007640).
